Terms of Service

Effective August 4, 2026

These terms cover your use of Loomtale, a service operated by Frappua. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

What Loomtale is

Loomtale turns a written premise into a branching, illustrated visual novel that you can play in a browser and share with a link. Stories are generated with AI models and assembled into a playable story you can edit.

Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must be old enough to hold a Google account and to enter into these terms where you live. Playing a shared story and browsing the gallery do not require an account. Creating a story does.

Plans and payment

Loomtale has a Free plan and a Pro plan. Pro costs $19 per month. Each plan lists the credits, image budget and features it includes on the billing page, and those limits are what you get.

Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record. Stripe handles billing, applicable taxes and refunds under its own policies, and your subscription is a purchase from Stripe rather than from us. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for, and you keep Pro until then.

Your content

You own the premises and edits you write. You may use the novels you generate for personal and commercial purposes. When you publish or share a story, you grant us the license we need to host it, display it and show it in the gallery, for as long as it stays published. Unpublish or delete a story and that license ends.

Stories shared on the Free plan carry a small "Made with Loomtale" badge. Pro removes it.

What you may not do

Create or publish illegal content, or content that sexualizes minors.
Infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
Harass, threaten or impersonate real people.
Attempt to disrupt the service, work around plan limits, or scrape or resell it in bulk.

Availability and accuracy

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, that generation will always succeed, or that generated text and images will be accurate, original or suitable for a given purpose. Treat generated content as a draft you are responsible for reviewing before you publish it.

Suspension

We may unpublish a story or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version is posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Loomtale after that date means you accept the update.
